Although I couldn't be at MFW this year, I still spent my last few nights in Barcelona catching up on some of the shows at Dazed Digital and Fashion156 in my apartment after the Sonar parties had died down. As I'm sure you're all aware I've never been the biggest fan of colourful prints or feminine silhouettes, so menswear is often where I take the majority of my inspiration from. Especially when the use of fabrics and layering are this good.
My favourites have to be the boxy leather tees at Kay Kwok, neoprene and silk bomber jackets at Jonathan Saunders, layering of iridescent silk, open stitch knits and dark paisley under navy harringtons and field jackets at Baartmans and Siegel, and opaque panels, reflective leather hems and waistbands fused onto sweatpants and shorts at Shaun Samson.
